Dog stolen during vehicle burglary in West Ridge, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A small dog was stolen during a vehicle burglary Wednesday on the city's North Side,

The crime happened around noon in the 2100 block of West Peterson Avenue in West Ridge, Chicago police said.

A 10-year-old chihuahua/beagle mix was inside a vehicle parked in a parking lot when it was taken, CPD said.

Police said the suspect is "25-35 years old, 6'0-6'4 tall, 160-180 pounds, long dreadlocks, wearing a white tank top, blue jeans, and white shoes."

No further information was available as Chicago police continue to investigate.
