Man charged after woman found shot to death in West Englewood, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man is facing multiple charges after a woman was found shot and killed this week on the city's South Side.

Gregory Hudson, 65, has been charged in the 36-year-old woman's death, Chicago police said.

The victim was found shot to death Thursday in the 6500 block of South Damen Avenue, CPD said. She has not yet been identified.

Hudson was identified as the suspect in the murder and was arrested later in the day around 5:45 p.m., police said.

In addition to first-degree murder, the suspect has also been charged with concealing a homicidal death, aggravated armed kidnapping, arson and aggravated criminal sex assault, officials said.

No further information was available as Chicago police continue to investigate.
