Man stabbed in River North, drives self to hospital on scooter: CPD

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man managed to drive himself to the hospital on a scooter, after being attacked on Wednesday, Chicago police said.

The attack happened at about 3:05 a.m. near State Street and Illinois Street in River North, police said.

Police said the victim, a 32-year-old man, got into an argument with an unknown man.

The man then pulled out a sharp object and allegedly attacked the victim, police said.

The victim was stabbed multiple times. Police said he self-transported to Northwestern Hospital.

ABC7 was at the hospital, where a scooter was seen being blocked off by crime tape.

At last check, the victim was in critical condition.

Nobody is in custody. CPD Area Three Detectives are investigating
