Burglary crew hits at least 13 businesses across several Chicago neighborhoods, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A group of burglars has hit at least 13 businesses across several Chicago neighborhoods, police said.

The thieves have hit businesses in the Loop, Brighton Park, Lakeview East, Edgewater, Logan Square, Kelvyn Park, Near South Side, North Center and South Loop neighborhoods, police said. Some of the burglaries happened minutes apart.

In each crime, one to eight burglars broke the business' front glass window or door to get inside. They then took merchandise and ATMs.

The suspects are described as being between 15 and 25 years old, police said. They wear black hooded sweatshirts and dark-colored jeans or sweatpants.

The burglaries happened at the following times and locations:

• 4300 block of S. Talman on September 21-22 from 7:30 p.m. - 5 a.m.


• 200 block of W. Van Buren on September 22 at 1:25 a.m.


• 2900 block of N. Sheffield on September 22 at 1:42 a.m.


• 5500 block of N. Broadway on September 22 at 4:05 a.m.


• 2300 block of N. California on September 22 at 1:56 a.m.


• 2300 block of N. California on September 24 at 2:21 a.m.


• 4200 block of S. Archer on September 23 at 2:25 a.m.


• 4200 block of S. Archer on September 23 at 2:40 a.m.


• 4600 block of W. Diversey on October 5 at 5:28 a.m.


• 2200 block of S. Indiana on October 5 at 6:47 a.m.


• 4000 block on N. Western on October 7 at 2:53 a.m.


• 500 block of W. Grenshaw on October 7 at 3:39 a.m.


• 3200 block of W. 59th St on October 12 at 5:31 a.m.


• 5601 block of S. Kedzie on October 13 at 4:45 a.m.


• 5500 block of S. Archer on October 15 at 12:30 a.m.


• 0-100 block of E. 9th St on October 15 at 3:47 a.m.


• 5000 block of S. Kedzie on October 15 at 4:30 a.m.
