Thieves hit Lakeview restaurant in overnight Chicago crime, owner says

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Video shows thieves target a restaurant on Chicago's North Side Monday.

It happened around 3 a.m. at Toons Bar and Grill at Southport and Byron, according to the owner.

The owner shared surveillance video showing two suspects trying to remove the ATM inside but were unsuccessful.

The owner says this is only the second time the bar has been burglarized in 27 years.

The business now left to pickup shattered glass and deal with the damages left.

Chicago police have not released information regarding this case
