Man hurt by armed burglars inside Ravenswood Manor business, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was inside a Northwest Side business when burglars came in and struck him with a gun, Chicago police said.

It happened at about 1:48 a.m. in the 2900-block of W. Montrose Avenue, Chicago police said.

A 54-year-old male victim was inside a business when three unknown suspects entered.

CPD said the offenders stole cash and other items from the business.

One of the offenders allegedly struck the victim in the face with a firearm, according to Chicago police.

The victim was taken to an area hospital and is expected to be OK.

Police said the suspected fled the scene in a "newer model sedan."

No one in custody and CPD Area Five detectives are investigating.
