CTA Yellow Line resumes normal service after derailment

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A CTA train derailed on Chicago's North Side on Monday evening.

Yellow Line, Purple Line and Red Line trains are stopped at Howard in the Rogers Park neighborhood. Service was suspended between Howard and Wilson and has been restored Tuesday morning.

The Chicago Fire Department helped evacuate the train and says no one was hurt.

The CTA said the derailment was minor.

What caused the derailment was not immediately clear.
