Man dies after falling from bridge in the Loop, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man died after falling from a bridge Sunday evening in downtown Chicago.

The incident happened in the 100 block of East Jackson Boulevard in the Loop, Chicago police said.

Officers responded to assist medical first responders after a 31-year-old man fell from a bridge and was found unresponsive, police said.

The man was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. His name has not been released.

No further information was available as Chicago police continue to investigate.
