

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are investigating a deadly mass shooting on the city's South Side Saturday.
The shooting happened at about 11:37 p.m. in the 5400-block of Cottage Grove Avenue in the Washington Park neighborhood, police said.
CPD said officers were at the scene to disperse a crowd when someone started shooting.
Ten people were shot, one of them being a 35-year-old man who died at the hospital.

A 34-year-old man was shot in the shoulder and is expected to be OK.
A 39-year-old man was shot in the right leg and arm; he is also expected to be OK.
A 40-year-old woman was shot in the right shoulder and a 45-year-old woman was shot in the left leg; both are expected to be OK.
A 26-year-old woman was shot in the chest and was taken to University of Chicago; police said she is expected to be OK.
A 42-year-old man was shot in the leg and is expected to be OK.
CPD said other victims included a 37-year-old woman, a 23-year-old man and a 35-year-old man; their condition was not known.
No officers were injured in the shooting.
