Chicago DeNard brothers turn basketball into leadership lessons

CHICAGO (WLS) -- West Side natives Aubery and Eddie DeNard are proving basketball is about more than just scoring points. Through DeNard Bros Pro Run Basketball Games, the brothers mentor youth from underserved neighborhoods, teaching skills on the court and lessons in leadership, teamwork and confidence.

"Basketball gave us mentors and structure growing up," said Aubery. "Now we pass that on and show kids they can succeed in life too."

The DeNard Bros host weekly Thursday Night Pro Runs, youth camps and showcase events designed to inspire the next generation. Their philosophy is simple: "We believe in you, even before you believe in yourself."
