Dept. of Revenue Office to open inside downtown Chicago DMV

CHICAGO (WLS) -- On Tuesday, Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias announced that the flagship DMV location on Monroe is opening a Department of Revenue Office on site.

It means you can pay state vehicle taxes in the same place where you can get DMV services.

Giannoulias said this streamlines a process that previously took multiple steps and called it "inefficient."

The new partnership is at the DMV located at 125 West Monroe Avenue.
