Chicago librarian, wife file first lawsuit in Illinois linked to cyclospora outbreak
CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Chicago librarian and his wife have filed the first Illinois lawsuit linked to the cyclospora outbreak.

Alonso Zaragoza is suing Taylor Fresh Foods and Taylor Farms California, claiming contaminated lettuce made him sick.
He says he became ill after eating at a Taco Bell on July 11, but wasn't diagnosed with the parasite for another 23 days.

"I had all of the symptoms: sweats, chills, the diarrhea, a little bit of vomiting, but I didn't know or think it was the parasite," Zaragoza said.
Zaragoza's wife is also seeking damages, saying she spent days caring for him.
Neither Taylor Fresh Foods nor Taylor Farms California immediately responded to requests for comment.
