Chicago man charged in Gary shooting that killed 10-year-old boy, wounded 50-year-old man

GARY, Ind. (WLS) -- Prosecutors in Lake County, Indiana announced charges Tuesday in the shooting death of a 10-yeaer-old child.

Ernesto Posadas from Chicago was arrested during a traffic stop on Sunday.

The Lake County Prosecutor's Homicide Task Force said he killed 10-year-old Montana Weathers and tried to kill a 51-year-old man on July 5.

The shooting took place at about 12:49 a.m. in the 200-block of Chase Street.
