Registration for Chicago Park District spring programs opens next week

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Registration opens Monday for the Chicago Park District's spring programs.

Spring sessions run from March 30 through June 7.

Some highlights include after school programs for kids ages six through 12, and swim courses for all ages.

Registration open Monday is for parks west of California Avenue. Tuesday, registration opens for programs at parks east of California Avenue.

"Despite unpredictable wintry mixes and spotty sunny days during spring in Chicago, our fieldhouses and parks remain reliable spaces for patrons of all ages to engage in arts, athletics, and social programming," said Carlos Ramirez-Rosa, General Superintendent and CEO at the Chicago Park District. "We hope families will explore the multitude of offerings at parks this spring, and begin a yearlong habit of skill-building and socializing."
