Police rescue lost dog from drainpipe on Chicago River: VIDEO

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A lost dog is back safe at home, thanks to Chicago police.

Officers came to Faroe's rescue after a boater spotted her in a drainpipe on the Chicago River on Saturday.

Her owner saw an alert about the police response and was able to board the Marine Unit boat.

He called out words of encouragement as a police diver guided Faroe through the water to him.
