Chicago police issue alert on masked dirt bike rider involved in Lakefront Trail hit-and-run

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police have issued an alert about a masked dirt bike rider who was involved in a hit-and-run crash on the Lakefront Trail bike path in the Gold Coast last month.

The incident occurred at about 3:47 p.m. on July 20 in the 1400-block of North Lake Shore Drive.

Police said a 45-year-old woman was cycling on the bike path when she was struck by a male suspect wearing a black ski mask and black clothing seen recklessly driving a yellow dirt bike, police said.

The woman suffered significant injuries, police said.
