Chicago police issue warning for robberies during dating app meet-ups in Bronzeville

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police have issued a warning about dating app robberies.

At least three people have been robbed recently in the 4800 block of South Drexel Boulevard during a meet-up arranged on a dating app.

Police put out an alert about the robberies in Bronzeville near the Grand Boulevard neighborhood.

Investigators said the suspects and victims are men.

The crimes happened on July 19 at 4:30 a.m., July 23 at 2:05 a.m., and July 24 at 12 a.m., police said. The offenders were a group of two to four men.
