Chicago police release video showing airbag theft on West Side

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police have released new video showing thieves stealing an airbag from a vehicle on the city's West Side.

The incident took place at about 2:28 a.m. last Saturday in the 2400-block of West Fillmore Street.

In the surveillance video, a white car is seen pulling up. Someone gets out, walks over to an SUV, and enters through a passenger door.

In less than two minutes, that person rips out the air bag before leaving the scene.
