She captioned the video "run route was crowded this morning."

But what exactly happened?

Coco, the company that operates the robots, said in a statement, "Being a good neighbor in Chicago matters to us and we take the safe and considerate operation of our robot fleet seriously. A sidewalk deployment error caused several Coco robots to reroute simultaneously as they were leaving their station at the start of their daily routes, resulting in a temporary cluster. That's not how our robots are designed to operate, and we understand the disruption it caused. Our team identified and corrected the issue quickly, and the robots were cleared and back to normal operation within minutes. We've since solved the routing behavior that led to this and added safeguards to prevent it from recurring. We're sorry for the inconvenience to Chicago residents."

This is not the first time food delivery robots have malfunctioned in the city.

Earlier this year, two of them crashed into bus shelters.

One of the robots was owned by Coco. The other was from SERVE robotics.
