
CHICAGO (WLS) -- A shooting at an Auburn Gresham gas station has left two people dead and two others wounded Thursday morning, Chicago police said.
The shooting took place at about 12:23 a.m. in the 7600-block of South Halsted Street.
Police said four victims were standing outside when four suspects approached and opened fire on the victims. The suspects then fled on foot, police said.
A 53-year-old woman and a 46-year-old man were both shot and transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where both were pronounced dead.
A 35-year-old woman was shot multiple times in the leg and a 33-year-old man was shot multiple times in the body, police said. Both were transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where they were listed in critical condition.
Dozens of evidence markers littered the ground as detectives investigated what led up to the attack.
