Chicago police searching for suspect of CTA robbery, hammer attack

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are searching for the suspect of a CTA robbery and hammer attack.

The attack happened on Friday at about 7:20 a.m. on a CTA Red Line train near the 100-block of W. 69th Street, police said.

The suspect allegedly approached a 30-year-old man, got into an argument, pulled out a hammer and attacked him.

CPD said after the attack, the suspect robbed the victim.
