1 killed in SW Side shooting, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was killed in a shooting on the Southwest Side Sunday night, Chicago police said.

The shooting took place at about 8:32 p.m. in the 3900-block of West 62nd Street.

Police said a 45-year-old man was standing outside when he was shot in the head.

He was transported to Advocate Christ Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Investigators said the suspect may have been traveling in a black vehicle.

Area One detectives are investigating.
