1 shot, killed in Bronzeville, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A person was shot and killed in the Bronzeville neighborhood on the South Side Tuesday night, Chicago police said.

The shooting took place in the 10:15 p.m. in the 700-block of East 37th Street.

Police said a male victim was found in the street with multiple gunshot wounds to the body.

He was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

Area One detectives are investigating.
