
CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two men have been charged in an armed robbery on the Northwest Side involving a concealed-carry license holder, Chicago police said.
The incident occurred at about 2:40 a.m. Tuesday in the 5200-block of West Montana Street.
Police said a 39-year-old man was getting out of his car when two male suspects approached on foot. One of the suspects took out a gun and demanded the victim's belongings, police said.
The victim, who is a licensed concealed-carry holder, took out his own gun and shot one of the suspects, police said.
Officers arrived and took the two suspects into custody, with one being transported to Illinois Masonic Hospital in good condition.
Thursday morning, police said Teryon Pittman, 24 , and Roberts Crooks Jr,, 23, both of Chicago, were each charged with one count of armed robbery.
Area Five detectives are investigating.
