3 shot, 1 fatally, in Chatham, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Three people were shot, one fatally, in a drive-by shooting in the Chatham neighborhood Monday night, Chicago police said.

The shooting took place at about 10:44 p.m. in the 8200-block of South Cottage Grove Avenue.

Police said the victims, two 20-year-old men and a 19-year-old man, where standing outside when a black sedan pulled up and someone inside started firing. The sedan then fled northbound on Cottage Grove Avenue.

One 20-year-old man was shot in the chest and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The other two victims were both shot in the leg and transported to hospitals where they were listed in good condition, police said.

Area Two Detectives are investigating.
