CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 12-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting in South Chicago Thursday night, Chicago police said.

The shooting took place at about 8:40 p.m. in the 8400-block of South Buffalo Avenue.

Police said the boy heard shots and felt pain in his shoulder, where he suffered a graze wound. He was transported to Comer Children's Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.

Further details on the shooting were not immediately available. Area Two detectives are investigating.
