CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 15-year-old boy was shot and critically wounded in the Bronzeville neighborhood Thursday morning, Chicago police said.
The shooting took place at about 3:21 a.m. in the 4800-block of South Calumet Avenue.
Police said the boy was found on the ground with a wound to the face. He was transported to Comer Children's Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
Investigators were seen placing at least 56 evidence markers on the street.
Area Two detectives are investigating.
