A 15-year-old boy was wounded while standing outside a restaurant in the West Garfield Park neighborhood Tuesday night, Chicago police said.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 15-year-old boy was wounded while standing outside a restaurant in the West Garfield Park neighborhood Tuesday night, Chicago police said.

The shooting took place at about 11:16 p.m. in the first block of South Pulaski Road.

Police said the victim was on the sidewalk outside the restaurant when two suspects standing nearby.

One of the suspects was armed with a handgun and fired at the victim before both suspects fled the scene, police said.

The teen was wounded in the leg and transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.

Area Four detectives are investigating.
