Gunfire erupts at large gathering in Humboldt Park

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Gunfire erupted during a large gathering in Humboldt Park and several victims were reportedly taken to hospitals.

The shooting took place near Central Park and Augusta Boulevard.

This led to large police presence in the area. People were placed on stretchers and then taken into ambulances.

It is unclear what le up to the shooting and the extent of people's injuries...or current condition.

Chicago police taped off the area as they investigated.
