Woman shot in face after argument in Humboldt Park: Chicago police

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 20-year-old woman was shot in the face Tuesday night in Chicago's Humboldt Park neighborhood, Chicago police said.

The woman walked into Humboldt Park Health Hospital, police said.

She told police she had been in a verbal altercation with a known female suspect in the 1300-block of North Harding Avenue about 8:40 p.m., when the suspect pulled out a gun and shot her.

The woman was shot in the right side of the face, police said.

She is in critical condition.

No one is in custody, and Area Five detectives are investigating.
