19-year-old shot to death on SW Side, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are investigating a shooting that left a 19-year-old dead on Thursday.

The shooting happened at about 6:15 a.m. in the 3900-Block of West 86th Street, according to police.

A 19-year-old man was getting into his car when he was approached by a group of men, police said.

The suspects got out of a blue car and started shooting at the victim.

The 19-year-old was shot multiple times and died at the scene.

Chicago police are investigating. Nobody is in custody.
