Woman shot, critically wounded in Hermosa, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 22-year-old woman was shot and critically wounded in the Hermosa neighborhood Tuesday morning, Chicago police said.

The shooting took place at about 3:18 a.m. in the 1900-block of North Kilbourn Avenue.

Police said the victim was outside when she heard shots and was wounded in the pelvic area. She was dropped off at Humbold Park Health, where she was listed in critical condition.

No other injuries were reported. Area Five detectives are investigating.
