1 killed, 1 injured in crash on Dan Ryan Expressway

CHICAGO (WLS) -- One person was killed and another injured in a crash on the Dan Ryan Expressway Friday morning, Illinois State Police said.

The crash occurred in the inbound lanes near 67th Street.

One person was ejected from their vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene and another person was transported to a hospital with injuries, police said.

A third person fled the scene, police said.

The two-car crash blocked all local lanes in the area, with traffic using the express lanes to get by.
