3 injured in crash on DuSable Lake Shore Drive

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Three people were injured in a crash involving three vehicles on DuSable Lake Shore Drive Thursday morning.

The crash occurred at about 6:47 a.m. in the 2200-block of South Lake Shore Drive.

Police said a Ford sedan was struck by an unknown vehicle, and the Ford then lost control and hit a Lexus SUV.

The 31-year-old woman driving the Ford, 70-year-old man driving the Lexus and his 71-year-old passenger were all transported to The University of Chicago Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The driver of the vehicle that hit the Ford fled the scene, police said.

At one point, all northbound lanes were blocked as police investigated.
