CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was taken into custody after two women were found shot and killed on Chicago's South Side, police said.

The shooting happened Saturday at about 10:50 p.m. in the 10400-block of S. Peoria Street, police said.

A 71-year-old woman and a 68-year-old woman were found shot to death in a home. Police said they were both shot in the chest.

The Medical Examiner identified one of the victims as 68-year-old as Phyllis Goolsby. Records show she lived at the home where she was shot.

A 75-year-old man who was at the scene was taken in custody, police said. A weapon was recovered.

Chicago police said charges are pending.
