Crews repair water main break on Near North Side; traffic reopens on Ohio Street

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Crews worked to fix a water main break on the Near North Side Tuesday.

The water main break was at Ohio and Dearborn streets. Traffic was shut down from Dearborn to State Street during the morning commute.

Water service on Ohio Street between Clark Street and State was shut down since Monday night. It was restored at about 1 a.m.

Crews were able to fix the water main break later Tuesday. They worked all night to repair the issue.

There was a major mess of water and gravel during the repair work.
