Chicago's Klairmont Kollections Museum reopens for 'Larry's Legacy' Auction

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago's recently-closed Klairmont Kollections Automotive Museum will reopen Sept. 19-21 for Mecum Auctions' Larry's Legacy: From the Larry Klairmont Collection. The historic sale features more than 275 collector cars and over 1,000 pieces of Road Art, giving enthusiasts a final chance to acquire items from the legendary Chicago collector's personal museum.

Highlights include a Spirit of Ecstasy Rolls-Royce statue, Corvette wooden car, vintage scale models, and rare neon signs. Preview days are Sept. 13-14, and the auction preview is Sept. 19; tickets are $20, with proceeds benefiting the Larry's Legacy Foundation.

"This collection is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," said Mecum Auctions COO Sam Murtaugh. "Larry's passion for cars and philanthropy is reflected in every piece."
