Chopper 7 over crash involving Chicago police squad car in Humboldt Park

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Chicago police squad car was involved in a crash in Humboldt Park on Tuesday morning.

Chopper 7 was over the scene near Hamlin Avenue and Division Street at about 6:30 a.m.

The CPD squad car was seen with its airbags deployed and heavy damage to the front end.

Video shows two officers being taken in an ambulance with what appeared to be minor injuries.

A dark-colored SUV also appeared to be involved.

Chicago police have not released further information.

The intersection was shut down amid the investigation.
