Christmas Eve house fire displaces Zion family

ZION, Ill. (WLS) -- Large flames forced a family from their home in Zion on Christmas Eve.

The fire happened near 31st and Ezekiel Avenue.

Neighbors recorded video of intense flames coming from the front of the home.

They said the family was in the basement at the time.

But the Zion Fire department said, thankfully, no one was hurt.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
