Person seriously injured in Cicero crash, spokesperson says

CICERO, Ill. (WLS) -- One person was seriously injured in a west suburban crash late Thursday night, officials said.

A Cicero spokesperson said the single-vehicle crash happened at 15th Street and Cicero Avenue around 11:15 p.m.

A person inside the vehicle was transported to a local hospital in serious condition, the spokesperson said.

Authorities are investigating the possibility that the injured person suffered a medical emergency before the crash.

Northbound Cicero Avenue was temporarily closed as officials investigated.

Authorities did not immediately provide further information about the crash.
