Connie's Pizza celebrates National Pizza Month with specials, tradition

CHICAGO (WLS) -- October is National Pizza Month and Chicago's own Connie's Pizza is serving up slices of tradition and a few tasty deals.

President and CEO Mike Stolfe joined ABC7's morning show to show off his dough-tossing skills and share the family recipe that's kept Connie's a Chicago favorite since 1963.

To mark the month, Connie's is offering a large one-topping pizza for $19.63, honoring the year it first opened. Other specials include BOGO pasta for Chicago Marathon weekend and a Halloween "BOOGO" deal, buy one pizza, get one free.
