Cook County Chief Judge Timothy Evans loses reelection bid

Charles Beach defeated Cook County Chief Judge Timothy Evans in an election vote on Wednesday.

Evans was seeking his ninth term.

Beach's three-year term will begin on December 1.

Evans has served longer than anyone in the county's modern court history.
