A 45-year-old man got into an argument with a van's driver before crossing in front of the van to return to his own vehicle, which was parked nearby, police said.

Police said the van's driver then accelerated and hit the victim, who became trapped under the van and was dragged before being run over with both front and rear tires. The driver then fled the scene, heading southbound on Marshfield.

The victim, left lying in the parking lot, was later pronounced dead, police said.

Investigators released an image of a van they are looking for.

Police asked anyone with information to call them at 312-745-4521.
