VIDEO: Cow runs on the loose across University of Illinois campus, officials say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A cow was on the loose on the campus of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

The udder chaos was caught on video.

The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, UIUC school officials said. A cow that was being loaded onto a trailer at the College of Veterinary Medicine's Large Animal Clinic was able to get loose.

School and animal safety authorities followed the cow as it traveled through Mount Hope Cemetery and continued north toward campus grounds, ending near the Foellinger Auditorium.

The animal was safely recovered and is now under veterinary care, school officials said.

No injuries were reported.
