Man stabbed on CTA Red Line Platform in Rogers Park, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was stabbed during a fight on a CTA train station platform on the city's North Side on Thursday night, Chicago police said.

Officers responded to the Morse CTA Red Line stop in the Rogers Park neighborhood just before 11 p.m.

A 56-year-old man was fighting with a male offender, who took out a sharp object and stabbed him in the hand, police said.

The victim was transported to St. Francis Hospital in good condition.

The suspect, whose age was not immediately known, fled the scene on foot before police arrived on the scene.

Area Three detectives are investigating. Police did not immediately provide further information.
