Da Bears Den helping the Greater Chicago Food Depository

CHICAGO (WLS) -- As many Chicago area families know, the basement was and still is a common area to gather and watch Da Bears! Now you can recapture some of those memories this holiday season at a retro basement pop-up while helping the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

Da Bear Den, as it's called, is located in the Keg Room at Jake Melnick's Corner Tap at 41 E. Superior St. in the River North neighborhood.

It features vintage decor including bears signage, framed jerseys, and tributes to Coach Mike Ditka. There's even wood paneling!

Tyler Garrels joined ABC7 Eyewitness News on Saturday to highlight the pop-up and give us a taste of the infamous PB&J Hot wings while explaining how Jake Melnick's is giving back to the community this holiday season. When customer order certain items, the restaurant will make a donation to the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
