BIBB COUNTY, Ga. (WLS) -- The driver of a stolen yellow box truck out of Cordele led Bibb County Sheriff's Office deputies on a dangerous high-speed pursuit.
The driver allegedly fled onto Interstate 75, driving recklessly, weaving through traffic, and attempting to ram multiple law enforcement vehicles, the sheriff's office said.
Despite multiple attempts to stop the vehicle, including spike strips and PIT maneuvers, the suspect continued driving even after the truck had heavy damage.
The pursuit eventually ended on I-75 near Rumble Road when deputies successfully disabled and pinned the vehicle against the guardrail.
The driver was identified as Darryl Leon Singletary of Warner Robins.
He was taken into custody after refusing commands and being found armed with a knife.
The sheriff's office said Leon Singletary was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and is facing multiple charges.
No other injuries were reported.
