DeKALB, Ill. (WLS) -- A 10-year-old girl drowned in a DeKalb pond over the weekend, fire officials said.
Firefighters said a group of children flagged them down for help about 6 p.m. Sunday near 600 Ridge Drive.
The call garnered a large emergency response, including boats and divers.
The water was reported as murky, which made it harder for the dive team.
