Sex offender sentenced to 52 years for murder of 15-year-old girl found in dumpster in DeKalb

DEKALB, Ill. (WLS) -- A convicted sex offender has been sentenced to 52 years in prison for the murder of a 15-year-old girl in DeKalb.

Timothy Doll pled guilty earlier this year to killing Gracie Sasso-Cleveland.

Doll's sentencing was Thursday.

Police said Doll smothered Sasso-Cleveland with a pillow.

Sasso-Cleveland body was later found in a dumpster in DeKalb in May 2023.

Doll was a convicted sex offender at the time of the murder, police said.
