Driver killed in rollover crash on I-294 near South Holland, Illinois State Police say

COOK COUNTY, Ill. (WLS) -- A driver was killed in a rollover crash early Saturday on I-294 in the south suburbs.

The crash happened around 4:15 a.m. near South Holland in Cook County, Illinois State Police said.

A vehicle lost control on 1-294 southbound, north of milepost 1.25, ISP said. It went across all four lanes and rolled over onto the driver's side.

The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Their age, gender and name were not yet known.

No further information about the fatal crash was immediately available.
